Board of Directors 
Aquaculture Certification Council, Inc. was initially formed in mid-2002 and incorporated
in early 2003. A board of directors defines the policies and activities of ACC, which are
then carried out by ACC's directors and staff.
ACC's board is composed of a cross-section of seasoned aquaculture professionals from
the Americas, Asia and Europe. Its members represent seafood producers, processors,
buyers, NGOs, universities, and other entities.
Directors and officers serve two-year terms, with half the board eligible for renewal each
year. ACC board members communicate largely by e-mail and conference calls, and
typically meet in conjunction with major aquaculture or seafood conventions.
